Posyandu Services Diverted to Puskesmas

Integrated health service posts (Posyandu) that usually serve residents at RW level are now suspended due to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. In exchange, residents can access health service in public health centers (puskesmas) at urban village and sub-district levels.

All Posyandu service at RW levels have been stopped

Cipayung Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Rini Muharni mentioned, Posyandu service at RW level was stopped simultaneously with the implementation of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy in Jakarta. During PSBB, residents should follow the health protocols that in accordance with government's instruction to prevent spread of COVID-19.

"All Posyandu service at RW levels have been stopped due to instruction from Health Ministry and Jakarta Governor through circular letter to stop all activities that bring the crowd and face-to-face activities," she explained, Tuesday (4/28).

For residents who need health services at Posyandu can visit Puskesmas at local village or sub-district levels. It serves basic immunization for toddlers, counseling services for pregnant women, family planning (KB), as well as health service for toddlers, teenagers until elderly.

"This service is available not only in Jakarta, but also nationally as instructed by Health Ministry through circular letter. We only carry out government's policies," she closed.
